which is better stroking a 308 to a 355 or putting a blower on a stock motor?
can the internals handle a blower or do I have to put in some new internals?
got a fairly small budget $1500 to $2000

any ideas?

Put a nice cam in. The cam plus some other associated parts should leave you with a bit of change.

No point even doing a cam with sweet #### all standard compression. Probably end up going backwards.

True. I'm not up to date on older V8s or even V8s in general, how much meat could you shave off a 308 head?
