Bluetooth phone & iPod Bluetooth at same time

Ve2 sv6 newb and I can't seem to get a phone to connect Bluetooth and then stream iPod music. It keeps giving me error msg about not being able to stream.
Is it me or can't you do this? Owners manual says you can have 5 phones so why not 1 phone and 1 iPod?

yes 5 phones but only one at a time.
so I would say 1 device at a time

You can't bluetooth stream & be plugged in at same time either, being plugged in the sound is much better anyway, leave bluetooth for phone.
Also there is no screen controls for bluetooth music control, another reason to have it plugged into the center console port.
