Who is making high flow bolt on cats to suit ve hsv headers, apart from best mufflers who want 700 plus postage, they look good but they are just the 100 buck metal cats from ebay and 500 for bits of pipe and flanges!
I have ve hsv headers on my vf ssv wagon, just wanting a bit more noise and maybe a couple of hp more, car is already tuned with an otr and catback.
I realise high flow cats will need a retune.
Im not keen to chop into my brand new catback and get pacies fitted or spend 1600 on gm motorsport headers and cats.
Found some that venom do but they are for stock vf ss log manifolds.
So yeah whos making them?
cheers

Had a few cars damaged in the past by exhaust shops, mainly damaged sills from incorrect placement of lifting arms...
At this point an exhaust shop would be my very last option.

VF Redline Sedan - A6 Spitfire MSE...
I just bought a set of Magnaflow 2.5" cats off eBay and my tuner had them made up to fit.
I'd just buy a set and head to your local exhaust shop.

Unfortunately for all of us interested in high flow cats the market has set the price.

Cheaper ones will most likely be of cheap construction and possibly fall apart long before the overpriced cats.

Then your hand goes back in your pocket to buy another set.

There is rarely any savings made by buying cheap.

I hear what your'e saying.
I think im at the point in modifying my wagon where anymore money I spend on exhaust mods is going to give very little gains versus the cost, unless I jump to the next step...... camshaftso_O

head to an exhaust shop with some cheaper HFC or get them to make a straight pipe.

exhaust gains are most economical with a whole second hand set. curently a DFP set in adelaide for $2k but i am the same looking for either cats or a bigger step. would love 180 degree headers but cant get pir4te to make em.
