Bonnet release cable HELP NEEDED!

Hey, ive got a Vk and yesterday i tried openin the bonnet (car has been makin very weird noise, traced to fan ) and the cable for bonnet release came out... and it looks as tho there are wires that go into the release and these hav been stripped... Now what can i do to open the bonnet? IVe tried gettin up into the release at the front of the car but that hasnt worked...

So do i hav to just strip the cable and find the wires? Is there sumfin else i can do? any help will b greatly appreciated as 2moro im fittin a new electric fan

VY CUSTOM.
You have to pull the cable with pressure, if its like mine you would need to pull the cable to the left if facing front of the car, or right if your under the engine bay and pulling on the cable, its usally in front top of the radiator.

If you can get the bonnet to pop up abit, fiddle wit ha screwdriver in the area.
