Bonnet Scoops ???

so, you can have a rearward facing scoop as long as it has protection no more than 60mm. ???
i dont really get what sort of protection they mean. can anyone give an example?

I guess its ok if its stock. Like the Honda Odysseys etc. with those blue parker lights. From the SA guidelines:

The fitting of forward opening bonnet scoops, which have the potential to increase injuries to pedestrians in collisions, for example forward opening "letter box" style, are not acceptable.

Yeah I guess they are talking in context about bolt on style scoops like Hornet scoops for example (something that is protruding from the bonnet)... I cant see how a scoop (I should say vent) like a Monaro bonnet nostils or XB/C nostrils could be illegal...

I wonder how legal it would be then to have a blower sticking out the bonnet with an injector hat on top.

I had to put a scoop over a blower pulley and ended up with a Group A scoop. I don't think it looks too bad. It's not painted yet
