bonnet wont latch vf2

i was change light bulbs turned car on to make sure everything was ok (with bonnet up), turned car off as it didnt need to be on anymore, i went to close the bonnet and now it wont latch.

It catches in the latch and the spring moves but it wont fully close, it sticks up about 1cm

I tried closing it with the car on didnt work, tried pushing down on it didnt work, have tried pushing down on it while some pulls the release leaver didnt work (to sort of reset it)

any ideas

Leave anything in the engine bay that doesn't belong there ?
