OK, I was doing some work under the bonnet when I stupidly left a spanner sitting on the left hand side in front of the battery when the bonnet slammed shut accidentally. At first I thought it'd be a case of simply pulling the release again, but the release pulls (has tension) but won't click.
The bonnet is closed completely on the opposite side, but on the side with the spanner jammed under the bonnet is raised about 5mm and I can see the spanner sitting there.
I've tried wedging it out with a screwdriver but it's jammed in tight. I've tried coming from underneath and playing with the catch, but I don't think that's the problem.
Any suggestions?
