The odometer says just over 250,000 which I think is genuine. I'll turn her over with only the one bolt and a second washer in between the starter and box see if that helps. In the end it doesn't really matter, I get the ute back on Monday, and this only has to pass rego at the end of the month then it's time to count down the days to November when she will get a whole new engine and transmission

I am actually currently saving for a 500 hp N/A 454 big block chev, built in the USA, then later when more money allows, whacking a supercharger on top, a 9" out back, and...well I havent investigated gearboxes yet, probably be an auto though...I am open to suggestions

That'd be nice, mine will eventually be ls1/2/3 and 6 cogger..... One day! Oh and 9'!

I think you'd be best to stick with a built t400, you'll never break it!

Mmm ls3 goodness, the t400 wasn't put in VN commodores where they?

As for the starter motor, i started it up with a spacer and it made no difference to the noise whatsoever

But no, t400 wasn't on the vn, t700 is, but not nearly as good.ive gone the other way, 700 in place of traumatic

Oh ok I'm still learning the mysteries of the gearboxes, and im wrecking my VN wagon, just checking out what bits are worth keeping

Apparently diff is the same width or very close to, if you wanted a 4 cogger keep the auto and burn the rest!
