At some stage in my cars liufe it got an aftermarket tow bar put in, recently i noticed i had a boot leak so i went about finding the leaks, i found all visible ones but there seems to be water somehow coming through the big support bar they have put in the boot, but i cant tell where abouts under it it comes from, it just pools at the back of the boot. any ideas how i could fix this guys.

    support thing is pictured below:

G'day mate, you have the exact same problem i had, exact same tow bar support too. All i got was a bitumen (bitch-you-men) sealer, i pulled the brace out, cleaned the floor, painted it on the floor and the bottom of the brace, then re-assembled and cover everything in my car but left the boot open and put it in the sun to bake it and then that gets rid of any smell. Hopefully that helps. it fixed most my leak but i still have a little one near the fuel flap, i'm in the process of fixing at the moment. Hope thats handy.

Yeah water will do that it's an unstopable problem just about water runs up hill underneth into the boot which doesn't make sense.

This is a massive problem they can have with the water running into the tail lights.
This was a problem that was not solved untill the VR commdore.
