is there a special way to take the boot light plastic cover off without breaking it or do you simply get a flat screw drive and lift it up or something ??
Exactly as you said. Get the smallest flat blad screwdriver you can find and lift up one end and then you will be able to use your fingers to pull lens fully out. I would recommend removing the interior light fuse first, as its very easy to short the fuse if you touch the boot light contacts onto the metal body when removing. Interior light fuse is located under the steering wheel.
