    Hi Everyone,

    Can anyone recommend where I could get a boot protector for a VE series commodore. I often carry 'dirty' stuff in the car and don't want to mess it up. I have been offered sheets of rubber from Clarks , but I was looking for something with a lip .

    Many thanks
    Doc

    Nope m8, a rubber mat that will cover the full floor of the boot area, with a lip surrounding to not allow spillage if any.

    could go genuine.

    * Cargo liner - moulded
    * $200.00 RRP*

    Designed to protect the cargo area and easily removed for cleaning, it is perfect for wet or dirty items.

    * The recommended retail price (RRP) for accessories and options includes GST, fitting and labour costs.

    Yep but that is a wagon, not a sedan. They do not have the sedan as yet .

    clark rubber do a universal one, but the lip does go all the way around the perimeter. You cut it to the size you need, I got one for the missus rex and it worked out quite well

    Genuine!

    I bought the genuine part from Holden, which came with an umbrella. It cost me $140, which was a significant discount I believe. My kids are always throwing dirty and muddy soccer and cricket gear in the boot, so it has been almost necessary. I don't know how I survived without one in the past.

    Oh, now I remember. Cars used to have rubber mats in the boot. It was only when hatchbacks came out with carpet that they found their way into sedan boots. Maybe a rubber mat in the boot should have stayed?
