boot rattle

ive got a 12 inch sub in the boot of my vn and it rattles to hell, i figured out that it was the solinoid for the boot opener but the actual key lock still rattles at the back of the tumbler, is there a way to stop this rattle coz it can be heard from a mile away

sometimes the simplest fix works. i know this sounds dodgey, but to eliminate rattles ive used everything from blutak to cardboard and foam. just try anything, if it doesnt work, try something else.
