boshce 044 into vl - need help

hey guys,

got my 044 fuel pump and just about to install its rather bigger than my last pump. looks like the regulator needs to be moved in order for it to sit in there and connect up. what parts and regulator should i get. and where should it go.

by the way the car was a standard sl before im at the end of the project more or less so help would be appreciated.

thats the fuel dampner thats in the way just unbolt it and connect it to the hose with it not connected to the bracket she will be ok like that

thanks yes i took that off and it fits in nicely just need to get a rising rate fuel reg not to sure which on i need or should get. does it go in engine bay and also what is the gold thing connected to the fuel rail and inlet manifold? does that stay there?

gold thing is the stock Fuel Reg and yes it stay there with the install of a Rising Fuel rate Reg. if u read up on Rising fuel rate reg installs it will tell u to put in the rising one after the stock one. Look it up :p

ok thanks man. i got the turbosmart fuel reg coming on thursday so i will install then, ive taken the stock fuel reg off the manifold. so what i've got to do is mount and install the stock reg then the rising reg in a series to the fuel rail and get a tpiece and put vacuum lines on both products?!?!? thanks for ya help bro

im just reading the installation manual for the product and im getting confused. ahahah amaeture.

3. Remove your existing regulator
With your engine cool and ignition off you can now carefully
remove the fuel lines to and from you existing regulator.
You should take care with these lines to ensure no debris
enters your fuel system.
Disconnect the vacuum line and remove the existing
regulator.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
If your standard fuel pressure regulator is mounted directly
to your fuel rail then you may need to use an adaptor and
some EFI fuel hose to connect the fuel rail to the FPR inlet
port. Turbosmart supplies a range of adaptors to suit most
popular makes and models (see accessory table for details).
