Since I know nothing about brakes I have an issue :p
I was driving along, well not really but lets just say I was driving along and then I hear this POP?BANG?CRUNCH? and then I had zero point zero brakes and the pedal is locked solid pretty much. Seems like I broke the booster? I hear constant hissing etc. Anyway that's my story, whos got a theory for me. Driving a VP that you can't even stop at idle is a bit too exciting for me

Sounds to me like the booster cracked!! Can you feel all around it, and see if it's still solid?

How bad was the crunch :p Is your car running like it has a vacuum leak? :p

Maybe something inside the booster split and knocked something around :p Man... you need to take the booster off!

Yes I think I've had an epic failure of the booster somehow. I'll look at in in a couple days, seems like a busted housing all things considered :p, But realllllly wouldn't like that to happen while at speed

The hissing will be a broken booster diaphragm. As for what else, you won't know till you pull it apart. Do the brakes work when you really stand on the pedal? Where you applying any brake when it went bang?

It broke during a massive stall up :) launched by itself lol and no they dont really work at all. As hard as I can push I have like 1cm brake travel.

Benny has me sorted

"benny says:
when the diaphragms let go the shaft that pushes on the master cylinder plunger cocks to one side and jams rock solid

Replace brake booster, its happened to me before too, exactly how you described it. They aren't too difficult to replace.
