I run Bendix Ultimates with DBA slotted front rotors on my VS Berlina. They work very well, especially during continuous use. I know they are a bit harsh on the rotors and they do create a bit of dust, but I would much rather have that and good brakes.... as lets face it, braking was never one of the VS commodore's strong points!

the ultimates make alot of dust... try some ferodo pads abit more expensive not meant 2 b as much dust but cant comfirm that.. i run dba slotted and ultimate pads all up front plus rears 780 if u do the work.. that also included some high temp paint 4 calipers..

heh i may as well use some greased wood to stop my gar, i've got some no name brand on stock rotors, resonable on the first corner, soft and slippery there after. i'd rather get some firmer pads, though prefer minimal dust

VX S2 Berlina Wagon with Phreddied bits.
If you don't want to spend to much and have some half decent pads, get some Bendix Advanced pads or Bendix General CT (Low dust).

I bought everything from Burson, each DBA Slotted Rotor for the front was $110, and I picked up the Ultimate pads for $90 for the front set. Has made a huge difference compared to the standard pads and brakes. The slotters do make a bit of a grinding noise under very heavy braking, but the performance far outweighs the noise made.
