Brake question..pads and rotor problem..

Hi all,

Again a novice here and this could be another stupid question.. anyway, I have a VX SS which I recently changed the front pads and rotors on. I used DBA slotted rotors with Bendix ultra premium pads, now after fitting all is good and well except when it rains!! The pads and rotors sound like a worn out pad sounds like on a shagged rotor, all rough and grinding type sounds..it still stops the car ok but sounds rough as guts.. I was just wondering if anyone has had this before or has heard of it and why It may be doing it only when it its wet..

At a guess i would say the rumbling sound is the ABS working in the wet.

You'd usually feel that through the pedal and the ABS light would come on. I'm wondering if the pads/discs haven't been bedded in properly.

I don't know why but the slotted rotors are noisier than the standard type.
