Really !!!
Bolts on the rotors.
What bolts are you referring to ??
If you are referring to the calipers it does not sound right to have to remove shocks to get at the calipers so the rotors will then come off.
Keep in mind the rear rotors are often held tight by the hand brake drums.
Are you sure you are looking at the right things ?

I can take the top of the caliper off its just the caliper mount that I can't get off because there's not enough room to get a torque wrench on it due to the strut being on the way @rambunctious

It's a poor design to have to take off the strut

Make sure you block the wheels perfectly as you will have no handbrake when the discs come off.

A short socket extension on the wrench should allow the clearance you need.

When jacked up and your rear end is at full extension, the shock struts are holding the wheels up. You will need to jack under the wheel to take the weight off the strut before removing.

Either way, good luck.

Never had to remove the rear shock when i changed my rear rotors just used a 3 inch extension bar or you can just a ring spanner and if i remember correctly the torque setting for these bolts is 150nm ft/pd not sure which one.
