- vs commodore V6 S2 and a BA XR6T
Hi, i thorght id also ask here about this.
i have a ba xr6t with the ba PBR factory c5? calper and disk upgrade. brakes fine but #### me it squeals bad!
I replaced the disks and pads all round
and lubed all metal parts etc, about 1000k ago. used brake anti squeal on teh rear of the pads and the clips are all fine also champered the pads on both ends (this was done to get rid of the noise only after 200k's but still not helping)
front rotors are slotted TNF disks and rears are non slotted standard disks
front pads a QFM HPX 7599, and rears are superX. however i used a DB1086 pad (commodore) on the rear as the brake joint said there the same as the fords?? (please correct me if there wrong)
anyway, ive bedded them in, also cleaned the disks properly before useing them. the squeal is killing my ears, its at low speeds mainly and low to medium braking, on highway speed you can still hear it when stopping quickly. However it seems ok for the first 2 stops from cold?
surely after all the feedback about QFM pads they should be fine?
i have super x on my vs and only even get the tinyest amout of noise but only after the cars sitting for some days.
anyone have any ideas? also they dont look glazed but im gonna disasemble everything and maybe change the rear pads to the correct ford ones but i cannot see why it would make a difference, as the pads looks the exact same??
