I'm of the understanding that HSV brakes require 19s as a minimum.
Having read the add for 4 pot callipers they mention Brembo and AP racing in the same add, I understood they were different. I had Brembos on a series I ve and was able to use 18" wheels. I got them from Keith for wheels in Brisbane. It is the offset that is the problem not the wheel size.

What offset do they require, 45?

Hi guys any recommendations on brake kits that r reasonably priced ihave 19"rims on me ss ve ute cheers.
Salvage autos on the gold coast have a front and rear set for $2950. If that is too pricey look around for front only. That with good pads should be sufficent

Sorry Losh I don't remember the offset. Keith for wheels would be able to help. Series 1 ss wheels were very close to fitting. It would have been illegal but it would not have been more than a normal washer. When I first got mine I dummy fitted the Brembos and only hand tightened the nuts and they would still spin. When I got someone to fit them for me it was then that I realised I had to get new wheels.

I think 45 is standard in 18 on the base SS. I have Monaro wheels I restored myself so I would want to use them. I thought SSV 19s could take the 4 pots, even though they are 45 offset.

It is the offset that matters. 19" SSV would be no different than the 18" ss wheels. I made the mistake earlier of perhaps thinking the 4 pot callipers on the VX were the same dimension as the HSV VE.

I have just read on car modder that the Ap racing brakes and the brembos stick out about the same amount.
