Hi guys I was just wondering if I get 20" super sports will I need bigger brakes? Since I figured that the wheels are bigger and need more stopping force.
    P.s I have a VS

Youare correct in thinking that your larger wheels are going to be heavier creating a greater amount of unsprung mass for your car but i would not think that you would need bigger brakes because of it.
I think a bigger problem for you will be the Police knowing that your VS did not come out fron the factory with anything close to 20" rims

Get yourself a set of VE redline brakes off ebay.. Or PM NAAF i think he does the VE brake upgrade for VR/VS… VR/VS standard brakes are epic ****

Don't start with this stupid 2 inch rule bs. The furthest I would is slotted rotors and decent pads off GSL Rallysport. Not like a VS V6 really needs thousand dollar brakes.

Hmm I'm not a big fan of the chrome. Unless someone can convince me to get those. And they are .5 wider. Hey wraith how much would slotted rotors cost me?

Personally wouldn't put them on because every 2nd person now seems to have them but they don't look too bad on the VR/VS range.

I haven't seen anyone with late modelled commodores around my area with them, just on the forums haha ;) What would be the average price for these wheels? With/without tyres.

I would be doing a bigger brake upgrade - had 18's on my VL and it was shocking if I hit the brakes just a little too much in the wet, went back to 15's and have greater stopping force in the wet now

I don't think I'll be getting them then haha. Not worth spending that amount on wheels for a daily.

I'm not going to get these I reckon. And VL's have smaller brakes than VS' don't they?
I think I'd probably just stick to the 17's, 18's being the biggest then.

Haha alright you can buy them for me. :D You reckon Eleanor B-Boss would suit? I've been having a look around on the net and stumbled upon those. I was looking at those is 18's. What do you reckon?

18s are the go for a VS, easiest to get legal tyres for. no troubles from insurance or police.

    SSZs are always good.

Thanks for your input. Not a big fan of those. I don't like how they are kinda dished. I like the 'flat' clean look if that makes any sense. Thanks for the suggestion. I kinda want something that fills in the wheel arch a bit more. I know my car needs to be lowered, but that will happen when I need to replace shocks/springs.
