We recently had a new addition to our family in the form of a VZ calais, and after driving this around I have decided that its about time my VS got a suspension and brake upgrade.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a brake upgrade on a limited budget?
I've heard VT or VY brakes are the common replacements but roughly how much would it cost?

see hopper stoppers etc, they'll have akit specific foryour car with various upgrade options. otherwise a trip to the local wreckers should find most of what you need. link below

you can get yourself a pair of twin piston VT calipers (inc. pads) and some slotted rotors from about $400, which is all you need for a daily driver.
thats in kit form with the shims you need to put the rotors on a VS, check on ebay, there's a bloke who has a couple of kits on there all the time.

apparently DBA does rotors that doen't require shims to fit the VS. the hoppers basic kit is $440 including pads, brakelines etc. haven't found anybody here in NZ however that stock that particular rotor. bugger
