G'day guys. I just recently took the spoiler off my car and was wondering if the coppers can dick me 4 not having a break light in the rear window. It never came out with 1 due the car being an S. The only light was on the spoiler. Any suggestions or has any 1 eva been stopped? cheers Andrew http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif

Shouldn't be an issue as long as the brake lights work on the back of the car.

I think all cars manufactured after september 1989 ( or there abouts ) must be fitted with them

Easiset way to find out, give your local vicroads a call. You can call the cops and ask them, but they will probably say that you need it regardless. :)

The vehicle must have all lights fitted and working That light is a 3rd level brake light and you must either have the spoiler light or the rear screen light as it was factory fitted. Then again cops only do a 3 month automotive course so probably wont know the laws

Yep, as everyone said you need a 3rd light otherwise u can get done for it...

The pin in the arse thing is that if u had a spoiler the part of the windscreen that would accompdate for a 3rd light in a car without a spoiler is blacked out...

Now i dunno if this can be cut of or if its a new windscreen involved...
