Hi guys,
I have what I think is a breather hose hanging down next to my transmission. There is also a 4 pin plug hanging next to it.

Do I need to worry about these or can I just get it sorted in the next few weeks?

Cheers!

Not sure about the white one but the 4 pin plug looks like it's come off the oxygen sensor which should be screwed into the exhaust pipe. Find the other end and plug it in.

The white one looks like your trans breather. Part of the cap should move a little which allows it to breathe.

Thanks man. I'll have a look. Weird thing is that all O2 sensors are online and sending back voltage readings fine.

Sorry to highjack the thread but anyone know how important that transmission breather is and if it's not fitted what would be the consequences?

The Trans Breather is required, and normally located up behind the Right Hand head,
there is a position [bracket] it should clip into, and secure it there,
If there isn't, maybe use a [Black] wire tie to hold it up in place.
Being it should NOT be lower that than the Trans, for obvious reasons.

Side Note:
Has the Transmission been replaced/out of the vehicle ?,
Because it would be a very rare occurrence for the breather to be that low, unless it was unclipped, assuming that is the drivers side of the Transmission.

Yes it is important,
as its there for a reason to dissipate heat and pressure.
Consequences for not having it, could be cooking the trans, or blowing a front or rear seal.

Thanks for your reply. It's hanging on the passenger side of the transmission, I'll see if I can get it back up there. Just to clarify, by right hand head are you meaning passenger side?

The transmission hasn't been out of the vehicle, so I can only assume that I'm just unlucky!

That bit hanging down should go towards the front of the transmission over the transmission to end up on the left side. It then then clips into the back of the engine.
