The piston bores are different sizes for leading and trailing per sportsbikes, so you need to swap sides and yes all you need to do is swap bleed to top position.

Yes, it definitely needs to be done.
A brake and steering specialist I've been using for 30 years did mine. I thought he swapped the rear secion from left to right. To reverse the pistons (there is a leading and trailing piston) and reposition the bleed nipple. But I could be wrong.

Yes this is exactly what must happen. Swap left rear CTS-V to right rear VF. You must also swap the bleed screws and fluid transfer pipes so the bleed screws are located at the top when installed on the VF. This is all because on the CTS-V the rear caliper is on the forward side of the rear axle but on the VF it is on the back side of the rear axle. Failure to swap the fluid transfer pipes and bleed screws will make is near impossible to bleed the rear calipers. Failure to swap the CTS-V rear calipers side to side on the VF will cause very uneven pad wear.

I would have thought so. The tricky part here is making sure that the calipers are mirror image left to right and the mounting plate is the same. The fronts are obviously different and easily picked as being different. The rears look the same so in essence you should be able to mount the left hand on the right and vise versa to get the plumbing right.

But this would be counter productive? Going from CTS-V left to VF right would also change the plumbing around the right way. Unless my brain isn't working this morning. ..

Yeah you're correct my bad it's too early for me. Left caliper stays left but transfer pipe and bleed screw must be swapped so bleed screw is at top with caliper mounted behind rear axle. Sorry for the confusion. Heading down to turn on coffee machine. Braking bias pressure in this subject is only to do with leading/trailing pistons of different diameters which is not controlled by ECU.

What you really need is a photo of a 4 pot ssv redline caliper to compare......

Not much chop without heat, don’t think they are safe all season on the street really.

No. They sound good though. May be a bit harsh on the rotors?

OP I realise you are enjoying this and I don’t deny you that. But honestly this has been covered and explored a dozen times in meticulous detail.
Use the search button, no need to second guess those people who have done the same thing and lived with it for five or six years.
Like I said, this is important:
By the way I find 99% of members don’t mind helping out, it’s the structure of this forum being sub-segmented into micro partitions for the same platform that’s the problem. It means you can’t access who’s been there done that unless you know the jargon and do a forum search on every keyword.
