They are aftermarket pads. Below are pics of genuine Holden OE brake pads (Ferodo HP1000/1) for the Brembo callipers before weights were added.

Here is a pic of a genuine Holden OE brake pads (Ferodo HP1000/1) with the weights added. The pad has a chamfer on one side (leading edge) to help with squeal.

From memory when VE Redline received the polished forged 19x8.5 wheels all round, MY12 Redline onwards.

Thanks guys as I am going on holiday next week, think I will leave the Remsas as they are a known constant to these new brakes. If those pads I received with the calipers were gen I may have been tempted to swap them out before my trip. Will stick with the devil I know. Brake pads matter.

I always liked those forged wheels  I also like the spoke style of the 20” black (with red highlight) on my Motorsport but not a fan of the low tyre sidewall :)

I assume if it wasn’t for the pad counter weights, then 18” rims could fit over the Brembo‘s more easily. I don’t recall if Holden ever had any such slim drop forged 18” wheels in their portfolio, do you know if they did?

Me too, that's why I bought a set of the VF staggered version but in black i.e VF1 forged Redline wheels. No I don't recall Holden using 18" forged wheels.

The only Forged wheels are the Redline S1 both variants and the 20 inch HF20 and the Special Editions wheels. They were very expensive to import.

OCT 2017 VF2 SSV Redline - Light My Fire
While this thread is a alive I thought I would throw in a quick comment. I recently removed a pad from a VF2 SSV Redline and yes agree it says brembo on the back of the pad.

Not sure if this has ever been asked but I have been told by a couple of people that the OEM brembo pad caused a lot of brake dust. 3 people have now told me to switch to DBA pads for less brake dust.

Anyone have any comments or thoughts. I love the feel of my brakes but I am no expert. My daily drive is a 1999 Toyota camry with 452K kilometres on it. LOL.
