Does anyone out there know where I might be able to get a brake pad retaining clip (anti-rattle spring) for a VE Berlina 6L?

I broke one of mine when I changed my front pads a few weeks ago, now part of the broken clip is rubbing on the rotor and it sounds like I'm driving a train.

I went to Holden and they only sell them with the pads, not separately. I'm hoping there's somewhere else to get them so I don't have to pay Holden $120 for a 30c piece of sheet metal.

I also tried a couple of brake specialists, but no one has VE ones, just VT-VZ.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks,

Same happened to mine and I looked everywhere, including PBR and AC Delco. No one sells them seperately. I had to modify mine slightly to ensure they didnt slide in the caliper. Seems to have worked so far. I even contacted a friend who works at a Holden dealership, and he couldnt even find me any old one's. If you manage to find some, let me know.

Maybe speak to a small work shop and try to get them to save you a second hand one

Either bend or cut off the bit rubbing on the rotor?
