Broken Odometer

Can someone please help me,

I have just purchased a 2008 captiva and the odometer looks like it isn't working. when i bought it 2 months ago the clock was at 86000km's now it shows 91167. there is no way i have done this many km's but the dealership is saying that i have. can anyone recommend a person or business i can go to to have this looked at?

Have you done any long trips?

My VE which travels about 15kms daily and the occasional trip south has clocked up 14,500kms since March last year.
That might help you figure out how quick the kms gain?

5,000k's in 2 months works out to 30,000k's in a year. That's not an unreasonably high amount of k's by any means. How much driving do you think you've done and why do you think the ODO's wrong?
