brought a VR for $500! from work

    a VR came into work with a blown engine owner wasnt willing to pay for a new one so they got an offer of $500 from a wreaker so i said id match it now ive got the car put another engine in it for $195 from pick a part gave it a clean up and are now wondering what to do with it? how much money do they pull? a very nice car to drive too!

    What condition is it in? Auto or manual? How does it run? How much work would it need to pass roadworthy?

    If its decent you should be able get a couple of grand for it. Nice little money maker for ya

    How come you could find a engine for yourself but not for the owner :), 600 bucks labour for a engine swap plus the motor 200? I'm sure they would have paid that. Oops I see this is years old, man Timsgmh, you sucked me in there

    I paid $5000 for my VR cos it was low k's good nick and not a bent panel on it. Still looks near on new apart from the slackness of my not vacuuming it out.
    I went into a car yard and got offered 4 for it and when i told them it was manual he said sell it privately for $7000 - mainly though because of the cleanliness of it. Plus manuals are rare - here anyways.
