bt1 cluster how do i get the light working ?

    im trying to figure out how to get the light from the top of the cluster working so i can see what speed im doing at night. as my dial indicator doesnt light up. i had the dash out and replaced the globe and wired the the light into the orginal screws at the back (re mapping)

    I replaced the bulb in my BT1 when I bought the car over 5 years ago and all I did was replace the bulb and left the wiring as original - the speedo needle is always illuminated day and nite with the ignition on.

    cheers buddy, i hate driving at night and not seeing the speed im doing, nothing worse than getting a fine for speeding, a fine for driving a plate missing and a fine for an unlicenced car
