    What about engine covers?
They seem to sit either side of the plenum over injector rails, will they fit?
Are there any parts off of the buicks that will fit our aussie engines?
If not is there somewhere in oz that maybe makes said engine covers, I think they look the biz, hides wiiring and injectors etc.

If you get the engine cover to suit the same engine as ours you can make it fit.

first one(beige colour) will fit, but they locked onto the original round fuel rails, so you will have to devise a mounting for it, second one will fit(again with brackets), but will have a huge space around the plenum as its made for a different manifold and will look out of place.

I'm sorry for my ignorance, but I am unsure of what u mean, were series 1 covers metal?

Coz I have a vr series 1 and they are plastic valve covers.

VN series one rocker covers were aluminum, get the hole welded up on the passenger side cover and get them polished, come up real nice.

    Sorry I didnt explain well.

Yes ^^^ as said they are, series 1.5 onwards are the crappy plastic ones. The S1's are painted in the same icky grey, so at the wreckers, I checked build dates & then scratched at the paint til I found a set.

I have got as far as stripping the paint off. Havent got to polishing them yet, I wasnt going to weld, I was going to try a rubber plug type idea.

    metal valve cover..... hole.

    Ok, cool....

    Sounds like a plan

    But,
Would you have to fill that hole.
Is it for a breather pipe or something?

Could you put a breather filter on it like old school?

Maybe someone has a set they would like to sell?????

breather filter would look stupid on the side of the rocker cover(hole isnt on the top), you can do as NORTI is going to and bung it, the breather pipe that it is used for on s1 vn's was moved to the manifold on the s2 motors, so no point having it run twice.
