you ar ecorrect,the manifold isn't symmetrical but it's like that to allow for the offset of the left hand bank (of cylinders) to the right hand bank so the bigends sit next to each other on the crank pins. all the manifold mounting bolts line up fine so the ports must also.

i'm keen to get one of the US banana style manifolds now

i think that is the ecotec version. listed as 95-2005

no, you would require the correct LIM (lowr intake manifold) much like the L67's have

cos it doesn't mention anything about the lower parts in this book, ill hit one of my other suppliers up see if he has anything for buick 231ci, so im looking for stuff upto 95??
