Ok so looking at building a new diff for my car and need the rear axles drilled to a chev/early Holden pcd so I thought for the extra dollars I might as well build a 31 spline setup and never need worry about it again.
My question, aside from 31 spline axles and a 31 spline spool do any of the other components need to be different from a normal 28 spline setup?

all pretty straight forward.

i used macdonalds bros in thomastown,
billet 31 spline axels around $800-$900 from memory and a 31 spline full spool was about $450

then you need a housing ( no ****) bearings, backing plates and studs

in a boring standard vl housing, easy. not the cheapest exercise in the world but it really shouldnt break!

Yeah plan is to use a VL housing so I have some more room to play with.
