Bumper Help VR Ute

    hi this is my first post so sorry if this is the wrong section in advance

    early last week a very nice man in his brand new Prado decided to run a stop sign :( an i t boned him

    leaving my car in a bad way ( see pics ) insurance company has decided my car is " a total loss " ???

    not sure what this fully means

    i am looking to repair my car but im not sure if just a VR bumper will fit or could another model fit

    if anyone could help cheers in advance being from Cardiff Wales im not sure what will fit

    Vt with VU/VZ bits
    VR and VS Bumpers fit and will suit it. Total loss means the repair cost would outweigh the value of the vehicle.

    Have you got any pictures under the bonnet? Looks a bit rough!

    i didnt think it was that bad... but due to the age , km's it would be a total loss the insurance guy said

    when i 1st moved here i fell in love with the commodore ute , the shape , the engine its looks as we dont get theses in the UK

    im gettin 6k from insurance an can buy my car back for next to nothing

    not sure how its works in other states? if the insurer rites a car off here in melb it has to go thru a viv check with pic to get it back on the road,oh and a viv check in melb is about $600 i think....it will not need a viv if you keeping it and plan on fixing it and not tellong the rego people in your state....the prob with a viv check is when its time to sell to another owner it will come up as needing a viv check on rta computers...not sure how it works in your state...cheers
