    G'day,
Took the rear bumper off today.
There ar these large black plastic squares on the passenger side under the clips, but none on the right side.
Should they be on both sides?
If they are I will replace them.
Does anyone know what they are?

At a guess they would simply be spacers to make up for slight differences in the fit of the rear bumper moulding to the body. If you leave them out the bumper may not fit square.

no those are the vents and they should be more of an oval shape, the squares you refer to, do they have grooves in them in such a position that the rear bar can "clip" into them?

I understand now. Yeah mate they are air vents only for the passenger side. Sometimes when I turn my subby up I can hear the flaps going in and out lool. Pretty annoying though. Somehow I thought you were talking about the rear backing support plate.
