14 shades out of one tin on metallic , so many variables.
Did you have choice if repairer?
Maybe get a second opinion, a quote stating correction mismatch or something?

Yes choice of repairer.

Update today: Suncorp have assigned a senior dispute resolution officer after I laid a complaint against Shannons with the Australian Financial Complaints Authority. This has been going on since February last year with no resolution to date.

Did you complain about the colour mismatch and those responsible think it's acceptable?

Just the mis-match
What was the panel shop's response to the bumper mismatch in the photo looks miles off? Did they refuse to try and improve the match, or claim it's acceptable and near enough?

TBH I haven't involved them a whole bunch at this stage. No doubt the 'opportunity to comment' parts of the process will be happening soon enough as the dispute process moves along. Really hoping Shannons agree to put everything right for me. Especially since none of this was my fault.

FJ Redline Softcock Coupe.
Definitely very noticeable these days. Silver is a shocker.
I had to have a new front bumper put on my Quicksilver Monaro 18 years ago, along with getting the bonnet repainted.
Replacement bumper and bonnet were spot on in matching. Now.......... Stevie Wonder could see that the bumper doesn't match

In the cases I'm aware of where a policy holder makes a complaint about a repair to the insurance company, they refer them back to the repairer to rectify. I had the impression that an insurer wouldn't get involved unless the repairer had the opportunity to fix the issue and failed to remedy the complaint.
