Ok so ive fitted the bushes on one side of my car for the radius rod.

I used soap to lube em up and shove em in and now im getting a bit of a groaning out of them every now and then when full lock sterring or sometimes over bumps.

Im wondering if its just the soap in there allowing a little movement which will stop happening after a week or two or if i need to get in there and get the tourqe on it all 100% correct, getting a tourqe wrench in there is a mongrel b.t.w

Oh and I did take the control arm off of the chassi and put that back, maybe That's too loose or tight?

Sometimes what happens is when you tension everything up with the wheels off the ground you are preloading the bushes, they twist when you let the car down and can groan a bit when you drive. What you should do is loosen all the nuts where the bushes you replaced are, put the car on the ground, give it a bounce to centralize the bushes and then tighten them up with the car still on the ground. This puts the bushes in a neutral position and they only twist when the suspension moves.

hey sweet i'll try that if it re-occurs, I just did a final tighten witht he car on the ground and all seems to be well now, although I did not loosen and then bounce everything, I did this before reading your post, so now I know better.

    Thanks mate.
