    HI

I went and sat in a brand new vf commodore yesterday and the interior is just the best thing ever since sliced bread in my opinion. Im currently in the market to buy a 2nd hand ve commodore just wondering is there much difference between the ve and vf in terms of ride driveability etc. Im just wondering if im better of waiting a year or 2 and buy a 2nd hand vf commodore instead on a ve. Im after a ve on lpg also would the new vf 3.0 litre sidi be just as economical?

Damn all you vf owners with your classy interior/.....

    2013 ssv manual ute
I can't give you a good answer, just my own thoughts.
I just sold my 60th anniversary ve manual sv6 ute and bought a new vf ssv manual ute.
The ve ssv 6 was superb, problem free, extremely economical to drive, comfortable and very stylish! It had plenty of power and could easily lose your license for all of eternity.
On the other hand, the vf ssv ute is just amazing inside. The comfort level and bling factor, especially the seats and sound system, leave the ve in the dust.
The power of that 6L v8 is something I have never experienced before and just had to have before they stop making them.
In short , the vf is a great upgrade from ve in many ways, but the essence of the car is still much the same. Ve equals very good car, vf equals very good car with some very nice and often quite handy, bling!

I had two VE's, an SSV Sportwagon and an SS Thunder ute. I now have a VF Calais V and there is such a huge improvement in the VF. I would wait if it was me.

I saw an early build VF Evoke LPG demonstrator at a Sydney dealer for $25,990 drive away late last month. Hunt around. You just might find a VF for not much more than a VE now.

No question really. Get a VF as soon as you can.

It's really a matter of personal opinion. The VF does have some extra bling. The VE is a much better looking car IMO. There are no decent colours available yet in VF but many in the VE. In terms of engines the 3.0L is a very underrated unit. A little down on power in comparison to 3.6 but much smoother and way more economical. Also important to get the suspension that suits eg FE2 more sporty but a bit harsh. FE1 luxurious but looses a little bit of road feel. Personally I would go for 3.0L and FE 1.

I asked myself the same question as I set out to but a VE SS... somehow once I sat in the VF I just had to have it.

Everyone says that they love the look of the VE, and the VF isn't bad either. But your going to spend most of your time behind the wheel and lets face it VF has the best interior. What sold me was in buying a VF now, you'll not only have the last of the commodores, its a shape that wont be superseded.

For me, i was driving a VE SS ute before i bought my VF, and yeah ok its the Maloo so there will be alot of differences as standard anyway but the VF as a whole they have just nailed it! Drive as well as the interior and all that comes with it in the way of electronics! Just my opinion but if the money isnt really a deciding factor then i would say a VF.

    Poison Ivy

Poison Ivy has to be the best colour ever produced by Holden. Wish it was still available when I got mine. Holden seems to be more interested in white, black and grey now.

It's a good thing we all have different tastes. Otherwise we would all be driving the same colour! To me white always looks like a well used second hand base model fleet car.

haha, true - I had an ex-cop VTII of course it was white!

GM Red or Black for me :) The black is soooo hard to keep clean though.
