1983 vh v8 sle 2000 vs v8 ute 2012 ve11 redline
For that money have a look at a redline. Better brakes and suspension. My 2012 ve had to have the front struts replaced, apparently it is a problem with ve's.

I'm guessing your SVZ was a V6? You've stated that it was a money pit, i'm assuming the timing chains stretched on it? If so a very common(expensive) and nearly inescapable problem besides replacing them before it happens, cause it always will. Very unlikely to have that same problem on a VE V8.

Thanks mate yes it was a v6 and yeah chains stretched had to replace them, it basically gave me a new problem every 30 days, gives me a headache thinking about just how much i spent on it for it to run from A to B. but i made the mistake of buying it with such high kms (200k+) and previous owner had flogged the f out of it so it was my stupidity too

budget is around 20k im hoping to finance that ssv i think a redline is out of what i can afford.

Looks alright to me - SSV manual, you like your utes, as long as the car is without problems all good. If you can pick it up around $20,000 seems good to me. 103,000 km for 8 years old is pretty good.

Offer them 18k drive away, if not, at least its a starting point.
Its the end of the month, and they love to make sales end of the month.
