Hey guys,
Im currently looking at buying a VT SS Gen3. Just wondering what are somethings i should look for when i buy the car,
and does the car have any common faults?
Also what sort of price rage should i be looking at?

Thanks guys

price range for a VTSS II is around the $15,000 to $17,000, pay a little bit more and you can a VX.

My friend had the 5.7ltr, the dealer changed the engine twice because of a knocking noise, also my friend which currently owns one has developed this knocking noise (80,000k's), not sure if it causes problems though.

yeah, 1st of the gen 3's apparently had piston ring problems? however a fair few of them would have been fixed up under warranty I'd imagine!

the gen3 from VT S2 until VY had pistonslap issues. 99/100 times it is no issue, it is just when they start using oil that its bad :)

Check LS1.com.au always some very nice salready tuned and zorsted carson there going for a good price.

Guy sold a VX SS on there last week for 17k :)

VX SS
remember to check the log books to see if they had an engine change! piston slap was a major problem in these models... if then engine has been changed somewhere in the book should be stamped then u know ur getting a good car!

My vt i had never had an issue but it could've been changed before i got it.
When i got it it had 39000 on the clock so it's a possibility.
