Hey guys.

Im looking to buy a vs ute for my first car and have seen one in a car yard. the yard is "skygrove pdy ltd" or something, located in moorabin, Vic if anyone wanted to know.

The car is a 95 Vs ute with 190k's with reg+rwc for $6,999. looks ok

Im pretty sure i would be able to knock the price down, but what are some good ways to do this and what sort of things should i look out for when buying from a car yard?

make your first offer 20% lower than what they are asking for, and then have like a maximum you would pay in the middle n go from there, make sure the car has the stuff the dealer claims, dealer claimed by car had a LSD but it doesnt, but for what I paid for my car, im not gonna complain.

my advice is when buying a car, dont account for one deal only.

search around and put out many many deals. one is bound to bite.

yeah i wouldn't pay 7000, id get it down a fair bit lower.

but its suprising they are around this mark, even privately all vs ute's have been around 7, some more, and theyve almost all had more than 200,000k's.

190,000 is actually reasonably good, ive been told

By the way this ute is a manual, so if i could get a good condition manual with 190ks for like $6000 i'd be more than happy.

just took a look in the classifides, nothing really comes close.
i live in melbourne, vic.

Ask what there warranty covers and get written proof that the car has a warranty if you buy it.
