Buying reconditioned engine and auto trans combo v6 for vy II

Have ( not the first time) an option to buy a VYII V6. Has been garaged from day one (wow what a difference that makes to the paintwork)
and the interior is quite good. However, the under bonnet maintenance has not been so good so will likely need to do a clean sweep and put in a recond V6
with recond auto trans. This seems a cheaper option than a full rebuild. Ball park what should be the price for a recond engine/trans and can anyone suggest places with hi reliability/quality of work. I live in Sydney but happy to source from elsewhere if needed.

Maybe 10k approx. with all the additions items/spares/items to be replaced due to age.

It cost me $5,500 to do a full strip down, rebuild (with mods and new heads) of an ecotec. $1,200 for an exchange rebuild getrag box.

its hard to find a good low km 2nd hand eco nowdays but if you can that saves $$$$
