Just try swapping around the + and - wires, see if that makes a difference.

I dont think it'll be the RCAs that are out of phase, but it definately sounds like something is out of phase.

hey mate, as with all sysyetms, try external components you know work.
i.e. use a cd player and try that of the amp. Try a different sub. Just keep changing stuff until you can find the culprate.

Also ensure you dont have the x overs set to low pass or something of the sort...

Hi guys thanks for all of your help, i tried switching the + and - around but still no good, i've hooked up my sub that i use everyday and my mates. i think i've tried pretty much everything haha looks like its gone. does anyone know if audio shops can try to fix amps or anything?

almost sounds like mine when the earth came off.. was chasing an earth through the aux's and messing with everything..

yeah mate earth is all sweet, tried in 2 different cars, three different spots and earth cables

Generally audio shops dont have techs which test.fix these problems. Maybe a specialist audio store might, but you'll have to check first.

I have heard of amps with this sort of problem before turned out to be a problem in the power supply inside the amplifier........
