CAI intake

    I just hooked up a Cai on my 3.8l and I just got a a question it makes a wooshing noise up the pendelum pipe is that normal and also the car has no extractors or fat exhaust etc... will it use less fuel with a standard filter.

    pendulum pipe? do you mean the intake pipe or the CAI pipe? I know my VR (VS L67 CAI) is more vocal than standard, it's because teh mouth of the intake acts like a megaphone, it amplifies the intake noise, but you hear it at the intake, not the pipe

    My bad I mean Plenum pipe. Ok the air intake goes CAI scoop, air filter box, plenum pipe, throtle body. Its pretty loud with bonnet up is it surposed to B. and it is a VS eco so anyone with this and CAI can comment more dead on.
