Supercharged 2010 VE SS-V
Hi,

I am looking at putting in a new CAI for my VE SS.

So far I have found a few options:

1. VELOCITY AUTO
2. SS Inductions - Performance Automotive Enhancements

These are both made from moulded plastic and look pretty much the same.

I have also come across a CAI that is made from aluminium. Any thoughts on this?? The seller thinks that there is less heatsink from aluminium over the moulded plastic options.

Any other suggestions at all?

Cheers!

Yes the ally ones cool down a lot quicker. This is a powdercoated ally one for mafless only that we made for the VE.

I don't want to go MAFless though...I want to keep it as close to stock as possible for when I sell the car.

Is it possible to go OTRCAI with a MAF tune?

Anything is better than the VE airboxes. I think it was in street machine that they upgraded exhaust and tune and only got 4 extra rwkw. As soon as they upgraded to the alloy air intake like the Velocity Auto one it gained something like 20rwkw with a couple more tweaks with the ecu.
Ziggycv8z: That looks sweet.

Thanks Dan355. The best thing is that on this clubby with only a cat back made good power and torque.
