Im not sure about Autobarn, but my local Autopro used to just have a roll of the chrome strip and you cut it into whatever length you need. Yes it should be the same for a Berlina.
sweet im going to get some asap. mine has gone all crackly and it just wrecks the car well i think anyway. thanks for the tip guys
Yeah I know what you mean, all the chrome coating stuff has gone on mine so now they are just plastic and it makes the car look even craper than normal .
i do like on the berlina having the chrome window surrounds and the line around the car makes it look mint. and chrome. gives it like a nice edge. especially if you chrome polish the ones around the windows. haha
Yeah I totally agree, when the chrome parts are in good condition they look awesome, but when the chrome has deteriorated they begin to make the car look trashy. I just wish my paint was in better condition to match the chrome LOL.
Am I right in thinking you can repace the coloured insert in the trim with a crome one without to much trouble? If so does does anyone have any tips in doing it. Thanks
So they have the proper ones at auto barn do they?? The black with the chrome strip through it?? Also why I'm here and instead of startin another topic, has anyone bought or got there sway bar links done lately?? If so, what did they cost?? Lookin on ebay and they have then for about $35. Have a goodin.
The stuff that I have seen is just the chrome strip. It was just a large roll of chrome strip. I couldn't for the life of me work out how you fit it to the trim like mine (Not Berlina or Calais but its chrome), but I know of someone who has. I have been trying to catch up with him to ask him how because I need to redo mine, but I haven't seen him for about 6 months.
going to check out autobarn in half hour. will post pictures and that if i get it. and possibly write up a how two for anyone interested????
For anyone who is interested there is a really good post in this thread on how to make you current strips look like new: http://forums.justcommodores.com.au...-1993-1997/65753-sprucing-up-faded-parts.html
