I have noticed when you turn the ignition off the fuel gauge stays where it was before it was turned off, in other words if you had 1/2 a tank of petrol left and turn off ignition it stays at 1/2 a tank.
The gauge works ok but is this normal??:)

Ok Thanks for that Attaboy I will scratch that off my list.
Actually it is quite a good idea to know how much petrol is in car when ignition off.

I agree monster, I did think of that too but how far can you go to protect your property, I would say it would be a fairly had car to start and enter without the right key.

It would just consume battery power. Maybe not much but who knows.

the fuel guage times out. i.e it will turn off after set time, it will also turn on again when the drivers door is opened
