Too late now, ordered the H304. Soon find out how it goes. Not looking for an engine that will spin up to 8000rpm, just reliably hit top gear on 3.08 gears at around 5000-5500. Just want enough to keep tyre speed and make smoke without putting too much stress on the engine.

Make sure you have the right valve springs, otherwise valve float city.

I ordered the right ones. Got the ones the cam spec sheet specified.

We'll see how it goes. I can always replace the cam if it doesn't work. Just have to find someone who can tune the Haltec now. Or find a tune for a 355 I can put on then adjust if I have to. The last place that tuned it when it was licensed lost about 50hp when they touched it.
