Welcome to Just Commodores, a site specifically designed for all people who share the same passion as yourself.
Ok I come from turbo power and I can almost tell the type of turbo from the sound alone I thought maybe cam people would be able to estimate a range of cam spec from idle. I stand corrected. What are the cam specs? Anyone’s guess mate lol u can’t simply tell cam specs by listening to the idle as someone else mentioned above the idle can be tuned rough, even the stock cam can also be tuned to have a bit of a lumpy idle to it
Thanks better info then nothing. edited main post to reflect better question.Lets put it this way. If it wasn't making the power of a cam with at least high 20's intake, low to mid 30's exhaust on a 109-112 lsa, then what would be the point of that noise?
I see. Hmm.Another thing to note is you can have 2 cams with identical lift and duration figures but different valve opening and closing points which would give a different idle sound between the 2 and a different power curve
