Hey, thanks for your reply. That is a actual nightmare. Glad your happy with your new ute. After reading all the comments, I much rather save 5k for the next house. I’m sure I’ll be content after the OTR & tune.
Diff gears can wake the car up a fair bit if a auto guys fit the std 3.45 manual diff, pretty easy to find a good 3.45

I did OTR and tune on my older VF1. i got them to delete the AFM on the tune. The difference in fuel economy was negligible.

i assume you already have the hurricane system on the car ? I'm surprised its not driving you crazy when he AFM cuts in

I've been thinking of doing diff gears in my Redline. Did you go from 2.92 to 3.27?
2.92-3.45 then 3.7,should have just gone 3.7 from the start,if you could get 3.9 genuine gears id already have them, the aftermarket gears are noisy, only thing that put off me doing 3.9 gears.
1850rpm with 3.45 at 100kph,2000rpm with 3.7.
Mine is purely a weekender and cruising car,in saying that the 3.7 gears dont make it feel twitchy or strained, feels like a factory drive but quicker.
13.6 average economy in the city.
I do diff gears in every car i own, best bang for buck i think.

Im actually selling my rebuilt diff with 3.45 gears if anyone in perth wants to buy it.
Did you buy gears new or used and what cars come with 3.7

Yeah ok. Mine's a daily. So I reckon 3.45 would be the max I'd go to. Mind you, there's nothing wrong with 13.6L/100k city cycle! How much are you asking for your rebuilt one?

Its gonna be an expensive PITA but I am so keen to keep seeing the pushrod v8 enhanced.

We could have had an LT commo
