Yeah. Undersized for a supercharger setup. You will need minimum 1 7/8" extractors and twin 3" otherwise she will be choked up to the Shithouse.

So if that removes charger option...
Will turbo work with that set up? I won't bother changing my whole system for a charger.

Otherwise if a turbo is out too..ill resort to a cam

Yeah. Twin 2.5inch is right on the lower limit for turbo. You can get away with just going 17/8 headers with the charger and leave the 2.5 zorst

I love cam upgrades for Ve's cheap HP.

But you have to allow for clutch in manual or a stall converter in a auto. Standard fuel system is up to it with a cam. Also if a AFM motor you would want to get the delete kit fitted which costs more.

Even if you go turbo/blower you want good valve springs so you need to spend some $$$$ there. Don't skimp on the fuel system ASE double fuel pump and injector upgrade(some blower kits come with injectors

It all adds up

Haha yeah I didn't think there was this much in it.

But straight forward it looks as if a 1 3/4" headers with 2.5" exhaust is too small for FI anyway.

Excellent knowledge here, more daunting than I thought.

I honestly didn't think that many people ran turbos in there VE's. I only ever heard about chargers and the occasional turbo.

Seems turbo is very very popular just from the replies

Z Series Thunder Utility - Turbo

Here's one being built at the moment with a gt42r - they're an absolute nightmare to do compared to the Vt-vz series commodores.

Yes but he's putting a 104mm turbo on jay. It would be a lot easier if your t88 was strapped in there...
